I had this great opportunity to take Mikayla up to Powderhorn, our local ski resort, for lessons at a great price. Leah works at a local church and their home school group gets a great deal on lessons for the home school kids... so we took advantage of knowing people and took the kids out of school for a ski day.

Mikayla all suited up! She looks like a pro!
At the base of the bunny slope they have this section of slope that is used for the lessons. This area is to get the kids ready for the big hill. There is this black belt thing that the kids ride on to the top of the little hill and then they can ski back down. Last year the kids had to hike to the top of the hill to then ski down. Lucky for Mikayla they added the belt.
