Hardware Removed!!!

Yeah!!! The appliance has been removed. The braces are going to stay on for a while until the two teeth next to the front ones come in. In the ex-ray her teeth that are coming in are also very crooked, so the orthodontist said to just go ahead and leave the braces on until those teeth come in and he will straighten them as well. I'm excited because we have made the last payment and it will include the braces for the two teeth not in yet.

Here is her appliance free mouth. The top of her mouth is pretty sensitive, but that should only last for a few days. They told her to keep away from really hot foods for a while.



There it is the infamous expander... You should have seen what came out of her mouth... YUCK! At least we know she will be able to get a good brushing done in her mouth now.

The orthodontist has a challenge for all of the patients to take their toothbrush all over this summer and take pictures of their toothbrush in different places. The person with the best and most creative photos will win some sort of prize... The challenge is on! We are going to take lots of photos...
