Apple Pickin'...

The other day Gavin, Mikayla and I had a chance to go apple picking for the first time ever. It was really fun. The orchard that we went to was a friend of Leah's. At the orchard they grew Golden Delicious and Rome apples. Above is a picture of the Golden Delicious apples... They were so pretty on the tree, and even better to eat.

At the orchard there was some old farm equipment. Here Gav is sitting on an old tractor.

There were cats roaming around the orchard also. This is a kitten who went home to Leah's mom. The kitty was named Katie the Kitty, she is a Scottish Fold. It is kind of hard to see, but she has little folded ears. She is really a cute kitty.

Here is Mikayla looking like a professional apple picker on the three legged ladder with the apple picking bag. She is picking the Golden Delicious apples.

Here we are...one big apple pickin' family. (Minus Cory he was at work.)

Here is Gav with the apple bag. As you can tell he isn't thinking about how bruised the apples are going to get when being thrown into the bag...

We really had a fun time picking the apples. We got a lot of apples...and they are sooooo yummy. I hope that this can be something we can do every year...
